Major Political Positions/Offices in Nigeria's Democracy

It is now time for Nigerians to go to the polls to elect their leaders into various political positions spread all over the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. It is, however, somewhat surprising that many Nigerians are ignorant of those political offices or the exact number of officers in each of those major political institutions.

Here are the political offices:
>> There are 8540 Elected Councillors

>> 774 Local Government Chairmen

>> 1205 State Assembly Legislators

>> 360 Members of the House of Representatives

>> 109 Senators

>> 36 State Governors

>> 1 President
